Boise State QB recruits expected to hit the ground running
If you haven't been training, it's not too late.
But you'll need to get busy if you're going to catch Boise State football coach Chris Petersen in the "The Beat Coach Pete Fun Run for Student Scholarships"
on April 11.
The 5K race starts at 9:30 a.m. at BSU's Student Recreation Center and runs along the Greenbelt though Ann Morrison and Julia Davis parks. A special prize will be given to the participant who is dressed as the "biggest Bronco fan."
Coach Pete expects to finish the race in about 25 minutes, according to race organizers.
The cost for early registration is $10 for Boise State students and $20 for other participants.
Race-day registration is $15 for Boise State students and $30 for other participants.
Proceeds from the 2008 Beat Pete totaled $15,000. The fundraising goal this year is $20,000.
Coach Petersen and other Bronco players will be available for autographs after the race at the Student Recreation Center. Autographs will be limited to those that participate in the race. The coach or players will only sign your race shirt or race number.
