Broncos Will Run at NFL Combine Sunday
Think back to sixth grade, when kids were tagged as the fastest in the school yard based on their speed in the 40-yard dash. This weekend, the best college football players in the nation go back to the future. But this time, their times in the 40-yard run could translate into millions of dollars—maybe tens of millions.
The NFL scouting combine is underway in Indianapolis, Ind., showcasing gridiron stars in the making. And five young men from Boise State make up the most talented squad to come from the Broncos in one year. Receivers Austin Pettis and Titus Young, cornerback Brandyn Thompson, defensive end Ryan Winterswyk and safety Jeron Johnson have all been invited to the combine. The University of idaho is well represented, too. Vandals invitees include quarterback Nathan Enderle, safety Shiloh Keo and tight end Daniel Hardy.
Coaches and executives from every team in the NFL will be judging participants in anticipation of the pro football draft on April 28. Pettis and Young will make a run for the money on Sunday. You can watch it live on the NFL Network.
