Indy Football Report 2010 Reader Mock Draft: Boise State CB Kyle Wilson to Green Bay at No. 23
It’s a blip in the world of NFL news, but in Indy Football Report’s corner of the blogosphere, this is relatively big-time stuff.
IFR Editor John Oehser made a selection in the IFR 2010 Reader Mock Draft on Tuesday night . . .
And on Wednesday, the readers agreed. Really.
The comparatively eventful selection was the No. 23 overall in the reader mock, and Oehser — keeping with the process — threw out a selection with the idea of having readers discuss. Oehser sent Boise State CB Kyle Wison to the Green Bay Packers, and while there was discussion and a bit of wishful thinking to follow, the readers eventually agreed the pick was OK.
Amen. Hallelujah.
Shake weighed in first, saying he liked either Wilson, Texas Christian OLB Jerry Hughes or Southern Cal OT Charles Brown at the spot. “I can’t be objective because if the Packers pass on Brown (my ideal pick of the guys that are remotely plausible) he’s pretty much sure to fall to Indy, barring trades,” Shake writes. (Shake really wants him some Charles Brown). Cass agreed, adding that he, too, is really hoping Brown falls to the Colts at No. 31.
So, the selection at No. 23 becomes . . .
23. Green Bay Packers | Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State.
But alas, in mock drafts as in sports, you’re only as good as your next pick/game, so it is with a familiar sense of dread and unavoidable pain that Oehser throws out his selection at No. 24 to the Philadelphia Eagles: Taylor Mays, FS, Southern Cal.
Please feel free to comment, debate the selection and offer your own thoughts below.
